Last saturday on the 12th of February was DI's third anniversary, and not only so, it was also a double celebration in conjunction with valentine's day!! Impactors came as early as 1030am to practice for their respective performances, right up to 3.30pm where the doors were opened for all to enter.
Impactors were paired up in male-female pairs in the spirit of valentine's day to play a number of interesting and amusing games. It was a chance to interact with other people whom one may not often be exposed to, a new experience for many of us indeed =).
Following that, it was time for the performances! Less words, more visuals, let the videos do the talking! ^^
Im sure all will agree that it was a wide range of unique entertaining performances =p. A short message by our dearest boss Gladys came after that, after which each Destiny Impactor was given a free new Destiny Impact notebook!! Haha looks like not having a book for note taking wouldn't be much of an issue anymore =p.
The day concluded with a birthday cake dedicated to each and every single Impactor. Representatives from each zone went up to the front and spoke of their birthday wishes for DI, in unity they blew out the candles and cut the cake ^^.
The celebration certainly ended on a high note. In this year ahead there will be many more things to look forward to. Instead of just listening to what we the writers here have to say though, why not look at some thoughts on what some other impactors themselves feel about the event and about DI from here henceforth =).

It was a saturday unlike any other. A Saturday filled with laughter, joy, spelling and love. Honor Room was pleasantly filled with new faces ready to celebrate Destiny Impact's 3rd Birthday in conjunction with Valentine's Day.
'Are You Trying to Say..?' was an interesting icebreakers between 'match-made' couples.
Refreshments were.. well.. refreshing.
Moving on to the Performances, Love was in the air when the 2 bands played their ballads. We must accept each other Just the Way You(we) Are, Keep Holding On and Speak Now when two personalities Collide because Two is Better Than One.
Rhema showed their 'aww' factor - the sweet and touching Video dedication to Edward while the Kairos guys wowed the floor with their BBoy skills and amusing song. Wonder where they got the idea from.. I guess they 'wah men tee' daily. :P
Sophia brought the audience to Bollywood as they bolly-bollied to the tune of Dhoom Machale.
Meanwhile, the wonderful and always-cute Zoe girls did a skit on a typical day in Destiny Impact, introducing the various leaders and cells to a new member -sheena.
The event ended with Xuan's succinct message and a Goodbye (or rather, See You Again) gift of Destiny Impact's one and only notebook :)
As we embark on our 3rd year, I wish that we will not only multiply in number as the stars in heaven and as the sand on the seashore (Gen 22:17), but as Impactors, we'll go all out and make a difference in someone's life. Also, I hope that each and everyone of us will have a hunger and desire for more of Christ, that we will grow in depth spiritually. I hope for more awesome events as well though! (hint to leaders). Furthermore, I hope to see more handsome and gorgeous faces joining us as Destiny Impact, and even our Family of Christ :D
besides, find me another place as Hip as Destiny Impact!

The past one year has been a long and tiring year for me...a lot has happened this past one year but through it all God has been faithful. He has brought new people into our family, D.I. He has provided each and everyone one of us with friends who are there for us i am thankful for all these things but i am most thankful for God's presence in our church. This is something we really must not take for granted
D.I has just reached 3 years old together with the launch of Phoster.=))))
In this year 2011, I know and believe that more people will be brought in to D.I and God will mold us into people who will truly live out the Vision/Motto of D.I, to be God chasers, Heart joiners and Light Giver.

D.I bday was a good reminder and assurance for all of us that while we serve the lord, he is and will always be faithful. Hence, let us take heart that our God is true and indeed never forsake nor leave us but has always been beside us even through our trials. :)

DI's 3rd birthday celebration was awesome and really fantastic. The game of "are you trying to..." was interesting because guys and girls were communicating in a fun way. The performances put up by the different zones were really meaningful and we all felt how funny, humorous and touching they could be. The dedications and messages to the eagles were meaningful and we really have to thank them for everything they have done for us:)thank you eagles!:)lastly, we enjoyed the video put up by the imagine team as it reviews the year and the events that took place. We are also glad to see many new brothers and sisters joining our DI family:)we are looking forward to DI's 4th birthday and we hope that destiny impact would grow in numbers and faith.

It was a time of celebration for my cell group as we launched our new name. Previously we were called A&D - Aeon & Desperation; Aeon - Alive & Eternity; Eternity - Beloved & Courage (because we used to be 4 distinct cell groups - Alive, Beloved, Courage and Desperation). Anyway, you get the idea.
There wasn't any meaning behind the name "A&D" unlike the other cell group's name and when people asks us about what our name means, it's often that we have to go back and tell our long story of how it came about - not so edifying (if you wanna know, there have been many ups and downs that led to the mergers). SO WE DECIDED THAT IT IS INDEED TIME FOR A NEW NAME!
And by God's grace, He has given us the name "PHOSTER"! And it means "Light Giver" in Greek! It is our desire to cultivate an attitude of light-giving among cell members and be an example for others to follow. Do join us in fervent prayers as we embark on our new and meaningful journey as Phoster!
And yes.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY D.I.!
