For the win!

On 19th November, Destiny Impact celebrated the end of year holidays (for most students at least) with an event that promised great fun and food, and it certainly did deliver on what was promised!

 

Impactors and new friends came down to honour room where after a time of worship, the hosts of the day, Scarlet and Rachel, introduced the games that we would be playing to us, starting with icebreakers which allowed for the people in their various groups to get acquainted with one another. A game of broken telephone was played, but with a twist - each person had to place a marshmallow in their mouth while passing on the message! And if anyone thought that was too easy, the stakes were raised in the next two rounds as marshmallows were substituted for celery and even listerine ice cubes!



The station games then began, with four different stations for impactors to travel to, with games played ranging from hangman and charades to seeking for 'cold hard cash'. Teams competed with one another and scored points, these of which were translated into currency for the bidding of condiments for some ice cream!



All in all, it was a highly enjoyable day and certainly a good break to have after all the intensive examination periods not too long before. Impactors had fun, had a good dessert, and most importantly strengthened old bonds, made new friends. It would certainly be one of the times of which impactors will look back and remember.
