Hour of Power (19th November 2011)

This evening we gathered for meaning, we gathered for power. We sang our hearts out at the grace and love of our God - who held nothing back in His pursuit of you and me. He inspired us to love beyond ourselves and to intercede with our hearts for people and things that mattered for eternity. Here're some snapshots and what Impactors have to say!

And I remember how You saw me

Through the eyes of Your grace

And though the cost was Your beloved for me

Still You made a way

We individually drew prayer request slips submitted last Saturday and began to seek the Holy Spirit's inspiration in intercession.

After interceding, we decided to text words of encouragement to the Impactors whose requests we were praying for.

We've not finished praying for every slip of prayer request that matters, would you join us next week?!

Really wish to see the people whom I do not know yet prayed for come to DI one day. And when I've befriended them, I can tell them, "I prayed for you before I even knew you! Haha!" Praise God! :D

The prayer snippets are really encouraging, to know that others also care for the same bits and pieces of things as you, and are praying for the same issues as you. It's also a portal where we can get to know another Impactor at a deeper level and thus grow in unity! :D Praise God! :)

Praise God! As I was praying, I had a revelation that I am actually part of the answer to that very prayer I'm saying. Here's what I drew:

I suppose as I pray for Impactors to unite in love for one another, I want and need to get involved too right?!

Tonight's HOP was amazing! Really reminded me that prayer is not a dead thing or just empty words going into space, but is the living, active outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our words, actions, attitudes and lives as we stand in the gap for the people of God! :)

The prayer snippets really taught me the meaning of loving beyond our zones. To pray for a person of another zone about a specific need helps to connect with one another and to know the heart of each Impactor. So come, every Wednesday, Keep It Real and Make It Loud!

Thought of the Day: As we gather to pray, we may discover that God wants to use us (every Impactor) to be an agent of love, encouragement and blessing to our fellow Impactors. Who knows? You might be part of the answer to an Impactor's prayer request!
